Enhanced Flock List and Farm Visibility

The Farms workspace now includes an improved Flock List designed to give farm teams better visibility into flock information without opening multiple screens.

Farms

• Users can now create and display multiple radius areas on a map at the same time. Each radius remains independently visible when additional radius areas are added. Video

Houses

• House area is now automatically calculated from width and length only when an area has not already been provided. Manually entered area values are preserved rather than being overwritten by subsequent width or length changes. Video 

Flocks

• Flock records now display progeny breed and progeny product information, making downstream breed and product relationships easier to identify directly from the flock record. 

Standards

• Existing standards can now be duplicated to create a new, independently editable standard while retaining the configurable values from the original. Users provide a new Standard ID, name, and effective date when creating the duplicate. Users can now activate or inactivate selected standards directly from Standards screens. The active status is also visible when reviewing and maintaining standards. Video

• Field Transaction searches are no longer automatically limited to Amino as the source type. Users can retain their preferred Source Type filter selections when returning to the transaction search. 

Point of Lay

• The system-calculated default capitalization date is now visible alongside any user-entered capitalization date on Point of Lay transactions. This preserves visibility into both the calculated recommendation and the date ultimately used. 

Transfers

• Intercompany bird transfers now support selection and retention of the associated Sales Item. Sales Items can be searched and selected directly within the transfer workflow and remain available when reviewing or editing the transaction. 

Surveys

• Survey Response Granularity Controls
  Surveys can now be configured with a flock granularity that determines the operational level at which responses may be recorded. This helps ensure survey responses are captured only against the appropriate flock scope. Video

  Surveys and Farm Visitor Logs associated with closed flocks are now protected from inappropriate modification, deletion, or un-posting. Additional validation also protects surveys associated with posted visits.

• Progeny breed, progeny product, and generation information is now available across a broader range of egg, incubation, chick, placement, and transfer workflows. This improves traceability of genetic and product information as inventory moves through hatchery operations. 
• Eligible egg facility transfers can now be voided directly from transfer and transaction search workflows. This provides a controlled method for reversing transfers that should no longer remain active. 
• Egg transfers now support additional transportation information, including driver, vehicle, temperature, and mileage details. Chick transfers also support selection of drivers and vehicles associated with the facility.

Chick Inventory & Tasks

Chicks

• Manual chick receipts now display the associated flock age in weeks. The value is automatically derived from flock information so users do not need to calculate or enter it manually.
• Male, female, and straight-run weights can now be captured during manual chick receipt and carried forward into the related placement. This reduces duplicate entry and maintains weight information across the receiving and placement workflow. Video 
• Chicks Hatched transactions now provide additional hatch, projection, decline, tracking, and sex-related information. This gives users greater visibility into the factors and calculations associated with hatch results. 
• Chick transfer records now provide clearer visibility into shipment timing by including Shipment Date in transfer and transaction search results. Transaction Date is also available when additional transaction timing detail is needed. 
• Notes can now be recorded on Analysis Residue transactions across applicable egg, hatcher, and chick workflows. Once the transaction is posted, the notes remain available for reference while being protected from further editing. 
• Eligible chick facility transfers can now be voided directly from transfer and transaction search workflows. This provides a controlled method for reversing transfers that should no longer remain active.

• Purchase order activity, search results, and order details now show Product Amount as “Price in Protein” along with Total Amount.
• Users can now assign a purchase order to a sales order and post freight from additional locations. Posting a linked sales order automatically creates the related freight receipt using the established Protein rules.

• A new Override Parent Age field is available in Chick Receipt parent details. When entered, the saved override is used in related calculations and reports instead of the standard calculated age.
• Chick hatchery purchase receipts now include optional, editable Shipment ID and Miles fields in the General section.

Invoices

• The Purchases self-billing invoice process has been updated as part of this release.

• A new Auto Fit to Page option is available when creating or editing Report Writer layouts.
• Required report filters are marked with a red asterisk. If required values are missing, the report is not run, and a message identifies the fields that need attention.
• Users can now review and adjust report parameters in print preview. The preview refreshes with their changes, which apply to the current session unless saved elsewhere.

• Added a new Add Destination/Source Flocks button at the top of the page slide to allow users to create additional Transfer Details records as needed.

Growout Planning

Placement Projection

• Enhanced the Unpost process introduced in Release 246. Previously, unposting automatically removed the associated plant projections if no actual transactions had been recorded.

  • In this release, users are prompted during the Unpost process and can choose whether to unpost and also delete the related plant projections, or unpost without deleting those records.

  • A new checkbox has been added to the existing dialog to control this behavior.

  • The selected option is stored as a user-specific preference and is automatically restored the next time the Unpost process is used. Video

Plant Projection 

• Added support for the new Standard Weight Factor parameter within Planning Product Curves. When defined, this parameter controls how strongly current transaction weights influence projected harvest weights, helping reduce excessive fluctuations caused by temporary weight variances at younger flock ages. 

  • Example: If the standard curve weight at a given age differs from the recorded transaction weight, a Standard Weight Factor of 0.8 will keep projections closer to the standard curve by applying only a portion of that variance to the projected harvest weight. 

  • This generally produces more stable and realistic projections. When used, the Standard Weight Factor calculation will also be displayed in the Memo field of the projection grid, providing full visibility into the formulas and projected weight calculations.

• Added the new Curve Standard Weight field to plant projections. This field stores the standard performance curve weight used at the time the projection was calculated, providing historical reference data for future analysis and comparison reporting.

• Added the new Tasks > Revert To System Wgt option, which allows users to revert manually the Adjusted Projected Weight values back to the original System Projection Weight. This option can also be used on records currently marked with the User Override flag, providing greater flexibility when maintaining projections. Video

Central Planning

Profiles

• Added the following parameters under the Hatcheries tab within Central Planning profiles:

  • Min Egg Room Inventory – Defines the minimum egg inventory that must remain in a hatchery when egg transfers are projected by the core engine. Egg transfers will not be projected if they would reduce the hatchery inventory below the configured minimum.

  • Priority – Allows defining a priority for each hatchery within a profile. During projection generation, the core engine will utilize the available capacity of higher-priority hatcheries first, then utilize lower-priority hatcheries as needed. This logic is applied only when at least one hatchery priority is defined within the profile.

Projection

• Added the new Record Activities > Hatchery Transfers option, which allows users to view and manage all egg transfer information associated with Central Planning projections. The new page includes the following tabs:

  • Projected – Displays all hatchery transfers generated by the Central Planning calculation, as well as any manually defined transfers.

  • Manual – Provides an editable grid where planners can create and enforce specific hatchery transfers. These transfers are also displayed in the Projected tab after calculation for traceability purposes.

• Added the "Egg Transfers In" column to the Projection Summary grid, providing visibility into the number of eggs received by each hatchery by day or week based on projected and manual hatchery transfers.

  • Note: The "Egg Transfers Out" column was already available in previous versions.

• Enhanced hatchery transfer calculations to respect the "Transfer Days" parameter configured in Profiles. Transferred eggs now become available at the destination hatchery only after the configured transfer period has elapsed.

• Enhanced hatchery transfer calculations to respect the "Min Transfer Eggs" parameter configured in Profiles, ensuring projected transfers meet the minimum batch size required for operational transfers.

• Added support for Target Demands defined at the Product Group level in Growout Planning. When applicable, the core engine now uses the corresponding Min Target Age and Max Target Age values defined for the Product Group rather than the individual Product, ensuring projections better reflect processing plant requirements.

• Added a new validation when editing load records from the Loads grid. When changes are saved, the system compares the total projected head sold across all loads against the projected head sold generated in Growout Planning. If the total load volume exceeds the Growout Planning projection, a warning message is displayed at the top of the page slide. This validation is informational only and does not prevent the save process.

Projections

• Added the new Change Vehicle Type option to the Crew Assignments step of the Live Haul Scheduling wizard, allowing users to change the vehicle type assigned to scheduled loads. This option is available in the Catch And Load step of the wizard.
