Features
The following features will be implemented in Release 260.
Breeder Planning
Flocks
Added the ability to view and maintain related Transfer Details records from the page slide displayed when using Record Activities > Modify Placement Record. This functionality follows the same logic and conditions currently used for Transfer Details records within Profile Activities > Add Placement Record.
Added a new Add Destination/Source Flocks button at the top of the page slide to allow users to create additional Transfer Details records as needed.
Central Planning
Profiles
-
Added the following parameters under the Hatcheries tab within Central Planning profiles:
Min Egg Room Inventory – Defines the minimum egg inventory that must remain in a hatchery when egg transfers are projected by the core engine. Egg transfers will not be projected if they would reduce the hatchery inventory below the configured minimum.
Priority – Allows defining a priority for each hatchery within a profile. During projection generation, the core engine will utilize the available capacity of higher-priority hatcheries first, then utilize lower-priority hatcheries as needed. This logic is applied only when at least one hatchery priority is defined within the profile.
Projection
-
Added the new Record Activities > Hatchery Transfers option, which allows users to view and manage all egg transfer information associated with Central Planning projections. The new page includes the following tabs:
Projected – Displays all hatchery transfers generated by the Central Planning calculation, as well as any manually defined transfers.
Manual – Provides an editable grid where planners can create and enforce specific hatchery transfers. These transfers are also displayed in the Projected tab after calculation for traceability purposes.
-
Added the "Egg Transfers In" column to the Projection Summary grid, providing visibility into the number of eggs received by each hatchery by day or week based on projected and manual hatchery transfers.
Note: The "Egg Transfers Out" column was already available in previous versions.
Enhanced hatchery transfer calculations to respect the "Transfer Days" parameter configured in Profiles. Transferred eggs now become available at the destination hatchery only after the configured transfer period has elapsed.
Enhanced hatchery transfer calculations to respect the "Min Transfer Eggs" parameter configured in Profiles, ensuring projected transfers meet the minimum batch size required for operational transfers.
Added support for Target Demands defined at the Product Group level in Growout Planning. When applicable, the core engine now uses the corresponding Min Target Age and Max Target Age values defined for the Product Group rather than the individual Product, ensuring projections better reflect processing plant requirements.
Growout Planning
-
Added support for the new Standard Weight Factor parameter within Planning Product Curves. When defined, this parameter controls how strongly current transaction weights influence projected harvest weights, helping reduce excessive fluctuations caused by temporary weight variances at younger flock ages.
Example: If the standard curve weight at a given age differs from the recorded transaction weight, a Standard Weight Factor of 0.8 will keep projections closer to the standard curve by applying only a portion of that variance to the projected harvest weight.
This generally produces more stable and realistic projections. When used, the Standard Weight Factor calculation will also be displayed in the Memo field of the projection grid, providing full visibility into the formulas and projected weight calculations.
Added the new Curve Standard Weight field to plant projections. This field stores the standard performance curve weight used at the time the projection was calculated, providing historical reference data for future analysis and comparison reporting.
Added the new Tasks > Revert To System Wgt option, which allows users to revert manually the Adjusted Projected Weight values back to the original System Projection Weight. This option can also be used on records currently marked with the User Override flag, providing greater flexibility when maintaining projections.
-
Enhanced the Unpost process introduced in Release 246. Previously, unposting automatically removed the associated plant projections if no actual transactions had been recorded.
In this release, users are prompted during the Unpost process and can choose whether to unpost and also delete the related plant projections, or unpost without deleting those records.
A new checkbox has been added to the existing dialog to control this behavior.
The selected option is stored as a user-specific preference and is automatically restored the next time the Unpost process is used.
Live Haul Scheduling
Resources
Added a new validation when editing load records from the Loads grid. When changes are saved, the system compares the total projected head sold across all loads against the projected head sold generated in Growout Planning. If the total load volume exceeds the Growout Planning projection, a warning message is displayed at the top of the page slide. This validation is informational only and does not prevent the save process.
Projections
Added the new Change Vehicle Type option to the Crew Assignments step of the Live Haul Scheduling wizard, allowing users to change the vehicle type assigned to scheduled loads. This option is available in the Catch And Load step of the wizard.
Settings
-
Added the following filters to the Calculate function used for generating performance curves:
Growout ID – Filters flocks based on specific growout areas.
Filter Transactions By – Determines how the selected Begin Date and End Date are applied when selecting transactions: First Date Placed and Last Date Sold (default).
Enhanced the Include Field Trans Weights option. When enabled, the Calculate function can now use weights from active flocks in addition to closed flocks when generating performance curves.
Added the new Standard Weight Factor parameter to the Performance tab of the Planning Product Curves edit slide. This parameter controls how strongly recorded transaction weights influence projected harvest weights. Example: A value of 0.8 limits the impact of weight variances found in current flock transactions, keeping projected harvest weights closer to the standard performance curve while still reflecting actual flock performance.
Bugs
The following critical or high priority errors were resolved in this release.
Breeder Planning
Flocks
- Resolved an error that appeared when opening the Flock Details option (Error Message: "System.OutOfMemoryException").
- Resolved an error that appeared when using the Initial Flock Queue option (Error Message: "Incorrect syntax near ')'").
- Resolved an error that appeared when duplicating a Flock record (Error Message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object").
- User field changes are now retained after saving a flock record.
Central Planning
Projection
- Resolved an issue where projection calculations could return no data.
- Resolved an error when calculating projections for specific date ranges (Error Message: "The given key was not present in the dictionary").
- Resolved an error when recalculating projections (Error Message: "The record you were trying to edit has changed. Reload the record and try again.").
- Resolved an error that prevented AI insights/recommendations from loading after calculating projections.
- Resolved an error when editing the Animal Product Type values for the Supply Adjustment records (Error Message: "Error setting target property [ProductNo] from source property [ProductNo] ").
- Improved calculation performance so projections no longer take excessively long or time out.
- AI-generated insights/recommendations now display in the user's configured language (for example, Portuguese – Brazil).
- Corrected the "Begin Egg Inv" value so it displays the true beginning inventory rather than the ending balance.
- Corrected the weekly totals for "Begin Egg Inv", "Total Egg Supply", and "End Egg Inv" so they are no longer overstated by simple daily summing.
Growout Planning
Plant Projection
- Resolved an error that could prevent plant projections from calculating when viewing projections (Error Message: "Response could not be deserialized to JSON").
- Resolved an error when selecting a target demand while editing a plant projection (Error Message: "Sequence contains no matching elements").
- Corrected the projection calculations when using Linear optimizer so the full selected period, including the final day, is projected when targets are available.
- Corrected the Linear optimizer payload so eligible flocks are properly offered as options for the initial projection targets.
- Corrected the Linear optimizer so it forces harvesting flocks that are exceeding their target weight instead of leaving them unused.
- The "Thinned" flag, "Thinned Counter", and "Pickup Counter" are now set correctly when grouping broiler thins, and respective values are retained after saving.
- Long-range projected weights are now calculated using the weights from product performance curves.
- The system now prompts users to save pending changes before running "Refresh Wgt & Head" option, preventing accidental loss of edits.
